At the heart of the set, three high-resolution seven-inch liquid-cooled CRTs power Samsung's RealFlect HD Fine Focus system, delivering highly focused illumination across the entire screen. PerfectFocus digital auto-convergence gives you convenient picture focus at the push of a button. Samsung's Cinema Progressive Scan automatically upconverts all non-digital signals to a smooth, clear 720 lines of progressively scanned images.

An important element of Cinema Progressive Scan is 3:2 pulldown detection, which renders DVD movies in their native 24-frame format. Digital video mastering introduces a common distortion when adjusting 24 frames-per-second movies to 30 fps video; 3:2 pulldown digitally corrects this distortion, removing the redundant information to display a film-frame-accurate picture.

Samsung's HD Fine Pitch screen further improves picture clarity, especially when viewing higher-definition video sources like DVD and HDTV. The fine-pitch, .52 mm screen brings out subtle image details otherwise unnoticeable on standard .72 mm pitch screens.
