The space-saving AQUOS LC-20B1U is less than three inches deep yet produces a vivid 20-inch image using Sharp's proprietary Advanced Super View LCD panel. The 4:3 aspect-ratio screen provides a higher contrast ratio and wider viewing angles than conventional LCD screens, while its black TFT anti-glare coating makes it bright enough to view its brilliant colors with ease, even in well-lit rooms. The LC-20B1U even features a dedicated Type II PCMCIA card slot, making it easy to view digital pictures from a removable storage card, transforming the television into a high-tech digital picture frame.

An electronic PLL tuner handles over-air reception of TV programming. Component-, composite-, and S-video inputs accommodate everything from DVD players to VCRs, camcorders, and gaming consoles, while a built-in 181-channel tuner lets you plug a cable TV line right into the TV and start watching. For audio, a pair of two-way, three-driver speakers are powered by 2.1 watts each and provide clear mid and high frequencies, so you can enjoy live concert DVDs and other programs to the fullest. A left/right pair of analog audio outputs makes it possible to hook the monitor up to a receiver or integrated amplifier.

The LC-20B1U is easy to position and reposition. An included carry handle/table stand facilitates moving it easily from room to room, and the one-piece stand detaches for wall mounting. With the LC-20B1U's NTSC, PAL, and SECAM compatibility, you can watch video sources from the U.S., Western Europe, and Eastern Europe, and all will appear properly formatted.
